What Should You Do If You Get Flu?

Cough? Fever? Body aches? You could have flu. If you have flu-like symptoms, stay home except to get medical care. Most people will recover in a few days to less than two weeks. If you are very sick or at high risk of getting very sick from flu, talk to your health care provider. Join the fight against flu. Learn more at https://www.cdc.gov/fightflu.

Know the common symptoms of flu

Influenza (also known as flu) is a contagious respiratory illness caused by flu viruses. It can cause mild to severe illness, and at times can lead to death. Flu is different from a cold. Flu usually comes on suddenly. People who are sick with flu often feel some or all of these symptoms; fever* or feeling feverish/chills (though, it's important to note that not everyone with flu will have a fever), cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, muscle or body aches, headaches, and fatigue (or tiredness).

Recap of the Special Olympics World Games Berlin 2023

The Special Olympics World Games 2023 took place this summer from 17 – 25 June in Berlin, Germany. Thousands of athletes, coaches, families and fans descended upon the historic city as Special Olympics athletes competed against one another in 26 different sports. Athletes not only trained and competed, they were able to experience new and different cultures while meeting new people and experience the many resources available to them through Special Olympics and its partners. The week was filled with triumphs on and off the competition fields as the Movement continues to grow and expand becoming even more inclusive through the power of sport.

Coaching Youth Athletes – Coach Webinar Series 2023 (Portuguese)

The second webinar of the 2023 Coach Webinar Series, presented by Gallagher, was about Coaching Youth Athletes. This focused on coaching athletes from their first experience of sport, to when they leave school/college.
